An irc user asked if Linuxcnc could handle XYZ with a C axis ( turns around Z ) IchGuckLive? built a set of config files modified from the sim axis 9 config here's teh files
They can be placed in a new folder inside your 'configs' directory in your Linuxcnc directory
name the directory as you like, it was 'ravenrock' ( the irc user that began the enquiry )
heres the files
upload:axis_manualtoolchange.hal
upload:core_sim9.hal
upload:dump.rdb
upload:locking_indexer.hal
upload:ravenrockCXYZ.ini
upload:README
upload:sim_spindle_encoder.hal
upload:simulated_home.hal
upload:standard_pinout.hal
upload:stepper.tbl
upload:stepper.var
upload:stepper_xyza.hal
upload:stepper_xyzc.hal
i'm not sure IchGuchLive wanted his Venus.ngc public, i think the rest is ok (or redundant ) the trick is in specifying the GEOMETRY and AXIS statements the standard supplied file 'stepper_xyza.hal' >was< left out, just a simplification while IchGuchLive prooved the idea. I've included a new 'stpgen_xyzc.hal and it is asked for by the new ravenrockCXYZ.ini and required a new core_sim9.hal ( or some other mods left up to gurus ) it now opens and jogs and seems a complete 4 axis suite TBD :) i have to dload each and try it fresh (lest i've got some edits not seen in the wiki list )
