Hi there, after a bit of googling it seems this might be a bug in Gnome (some other apps show the same behaviour). I've seen a couple of advices: - try making the AXIS screen as large as possible (without pushing the maximize button), maybe it remembers that size. - try following these tips: http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,2140149,00.asp Regards, Alex ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jack Ensor" <jensor@qis.net> To: "Enhanced Machine Controller (EMC)" <emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net> Sent: Tuesday, July 10, 2007 3:45 PM Subject: [Emc-users] Axis screen Maximized as default? >I find that in Ubuntu most applications open either in a maximized or > un-maximized window according to which mode the window was in when it > was last closed. This works great with AXIS! The devilspie configuration expression I tried is: (if (contains (application_name) "AXIS") (fullscreen)) This makes AXIS as large as possible and removes the window borders, but transient windows like the file/open dialog stay above it just like you'd want.
