I am using a Beckhoff embedded computer with Atom cpu. I chose Xubuntu 8.04 to start according to [Etherlab Supported Ethernet Hardware]. 10.04 is using 2.6.32 kernel which needs to patch the ethernet adapter by myself.

Tried to use the LinuxCNC 8.04 live cd but it failed to start. It ended up with Busybox.

Steps:

• Create Xubuntu 8.04 start up USB (use the alternative one)
• Install Xubuntu 8.04
• Install RTAI
